Who is Mehmed the Conqueror
Sultan Mehmed II, also known as Mehmed the Conqueror, was the third son of his father, Murad II, and the seventh Sultan of the Ottoman Empire between 1444-1446, and again from 1451-1481. He was an important Sultan who achieved great things. He conquered the city of Constantinople (modern day Istanbul) at the age of 21, and brought an end to the Byzantine Empire.
